Amelia Tess Thornton

Amelia specializes in all aspects of organizational health, including team performance effectiveness and executive coaching. Amelia brings over 20 years of senior corporate and consulting experience and has held leadership positions in Federal Express, Ernst & Young, Oracle, Right Management Consulting and Hyperion Solutions including leading a 2 year turn-around at Hyperion solutions as Chief Administrative Officer. As President of The Thornton Group, Amelia has had extensive experience in strategic planning, strategy implementation and top team effectiveness on an international basis.

Amelia has served on the boards of MentorNet, MG Taylor Corporation and the Minneapolis Aquatennial Association as well as being a Director of the Alliance of Chief Executives and a consulting partner with the Table Group (a Patrick Lencioni company).

Amelia is a member of the International Coaching Federation, WITI and the Forum for Entrepreneurs & Executives and has an honors degree in music and is a graduate of the Boston University Executive Management Leadership Institute


Art Geis, Ph.D.

Dr. Geis is a senior change management and strategic implementation consultant to CEO's and their executive teams particularly during periods of significant change. His expertise emphasizes organization design, assessing the organization's capability to effectively implement new strategies, and integrating organizations after a merger or acquisition. He is known as a skilled and effective guide to CEOs and their teams in assessing executive team effectiveness, developing and implementing integrated change plans, and measuring their impact.

Art has had an extensive career in consulting with ODI, The Hay Group, Mercer Delta and William M. Mercer Consulting. He obtained his doctorate from Boston University specializing in Organizations and Political Sociology and he has worked extensively across industry sectors in North America, Europe and Asia. He also sits on the boards of directors of organizations focused on environmental issues and child welfare.


Bill Schlegel

Bill has 27 years of experience in creating value for his companies. He has been a Founder, Chairman, CEO, and Board Member of companies that were sold or financed with a combined market value in excess of $500 million.

Bill is recognized for his strategic planning and strong financial leadership of emerging growth companies. In 1997, Mr. Schlegel founded and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MarketTools Inc, the world's leading online market research company. At MarketTools, he raised over $50 million in venture capital financing and introduced the popular product Zoomerang. Earlier, Bill cofounded and then served as Chief Marketing Officer at Airfone, the nation's first air-to-ground telephone Company. Airfone was acquired by Verizon for over $120 million.

Barbara Roberts

Barbara worked on Wall Street for 15 years, holding senior positions in securities research, investment policy and marketing at Blyth Eastman/Paine Webber and Dean Witter. Immediately before leaving Wall Street, she was Senior Vice President, Director of Capital Markets Marketing for Dean Witter and was the first women on Dean Witter's Board of Directors. She also served on its stock selection, economic policy and investment strategy committees. Upon leaving Wall Street, she was featured in an article in the Wall Street Journal where she coined the term "The Glass Ceiling".

After leaving Wall Street, Barbara became President and CEO of FPG International and then Acoustiguide as well as holding the position of COO Pryor Ezcel. The story of how she turned around FPG is used as a Harvard case study of a highly successful socially responsible business. She also chaired joint ventures with the Chinese government and the Japanese company, Denon, to bring high quality audio content and technology to their museums and historical sites. She has served as Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Business and Agricultural Advisory Board. Since selling her last company, Barbara has been coaching CEO's, business owners and C-Suite executives and facilitating strategic planning retreats and peer-to-peer learning groups for various organizations. Her companies and management philosophy have been profiled in two books, David Bollier's Aiming Higher and Lance Berger's Deengineering the Corporation.

Barbara has been trained in coaching and facilitation by the Edward Lowe Foundation, The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, The Women Presidents Organization, Tiger 21, Julia Cameron (author of The Artist's Way) and The International Association of Facilitators. She is a regular speaker on business issues and has spoken at many conferences including those sponsored by Inc. magazine, Ernst and Young, the Women Presidents Organization and the Committee of 200. She is a member of the board of the 14th Street/Union Square BID/Local Development Board, serves on the Suffolk County's Economic Development Board and was recently appointed the Southampton Commissioner on the Suffolk County Planning Commission as an expert in business issues. Barbara has an Economics and Philosophy degree from Goucher College and lives and works in New York City and Sag Harbor, NY.


Bob Corbett

Bob Corbett

Bob is a seasoned consultant, certified executive coach and Human Resources leader with wide-ranging experience with global organizations in the Manufacturing, Health Care, High Tech and Consulting industry sectors.

Bob has thirty years of professional experience in Human Capital positions in international organizations such as Levi Strauss, Baxter and TRW and has held Vice President Human Resources positions among other senior leadership roles. Bob also has experience in the consulting sector in Towers Watson and Ernst and Young as well as leading a strategic Human Capital. His career has included developing and implementing executive compensation, organization development, succession planning and competency based leadership initiatives.

Bob holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development, a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola University. Bob has served on the Boards for Children’s Home and Aid Society and Northeastern Illinois University and is a member of the International Coach Federation and the American Association of Blacks in Energy. He was also a Community Relations Commissioner for the Village of Wilmette, IL and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force


Lori Zahn

Lori is an executive coach and leadership and organizational effectiveness consultant who brings to her client engagements over 15 years experience in senior-level leadership roles in large corporate environments including Citicorp and Andersen where Lori served in a variety of Vice President and project leadership roles in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

As an executive coach and organizational consultant, she has been engaged to work with more than 100 organizational leaders in more than 70 organizations that have run the gamut of industry sectors including financial and other services, high tech, communications, energy and manufacturing.

Lori has an MBA, and received her BA in Public Administration with a multidisciplinary concentration in Adult Development from the University of Arizona. Her postgraduate training in leadership and organizational development also includes studies at the Gestalt Institute OSD (Organization and Systems Development) and the Strozzi Institute.

Lori received her professional coaching certification from the Hudson Institute and is qualified with the International Coach Federation (ICF) at the Master Certified Coach (MCC) level. She also is licensed in a variety of assessment tools used in the process of leadership development.

Dr. Michael Stafford is an internationally recognized leadership and organization development executive who has held senior leadership roles in a variety of global Fortune 500 companies, including Starbucks Coffee Company, Metro Media Restaurants, Litton Industries and PepsiCo. Additionally, he has consulted to a wide range of premier organizations such as Williams-Sonoma, Motorola, Boeing, Mazda Motors and DreamWorks SKG.

Throughout his career he has distinguished himself by focusing on developing innovative solutions that anticipate emerging organizational needs and enhance an organization’s ability to reach its strategic business objectives. He is recognized for his skills in organization design, executive coaching, performance management, succession planning, change management, as well as assessment and selection. Leadership Excellence magazine has named Michael as one of America's top 100 top practitioners in Leadership Development.

Michael most recently served as Senior Vice President, Talent Management for Starbucks Coffee Company for eight years. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all global leadership and organization development, talent acquisition/staffing, learning, succession planning and the global employee engagement survey process.

Michael holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University, a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. Michael has served on numerous professional and non-profit Boards of Directors, including for the Human Resource Planning Society, Leadership Tomorrow and Seattle University’s Center for Leadership Formation. He has also been a member of the adjunct faculty of the Center for Creative Leadership and the University of Redlands. Nancy Cannon-O'Connell, Ph.D.

Dr. Cannon-O'Connell is an executive coach and a leadership and organizational consultant who brings over twenty years of management experience to her work with senior teams. She has held senior positions in strategy development with two national health care firms and has consulted extensively in the technology and financial services sectors on issues such as management of accelerated market changes, leadership development in times of organizational change, and product development strategies to meet shifting customer demands. Her consulting engagements have included work in South America, Europe and South Africa. In the course of her work, Nancy has coached/mentored scores of executives and has been highly effective in developing key high potential individuals into successful leaders and members of outstanding teams.

Nancy earned a Ph.D. in economics and policy at Brandeis University. Rebecca Chou

Rebecca brings over 25 years of combined consulting and Fortune 500 executive experience in Human Resource and global development.

She was VP of HR at SYNNEX Corporation, Director of HR at Northwest Airlines, Director of Diversity at Pillsbury Co., and World-wide EEO Program Manager at Amdahl Corporation. One of her key expertise areas is the design and facilitation of global leadership development initiatives for executives, managers and professional from diverse backgrounds. She has delivered training seminars across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Paris and London. In her consulting capacity, she helps multinational firms and high tech startups in an array of HR and leadership concerns. She also has designed and conducted executive coaching and training programs in Mandarin Chinese for some of her clients

Rebecca holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Tamkang, Taiwan, and a M.A. in Counseling (with clinical emphasis) from the University of New Mexico. She is a graduate of a yearlong Intergovernmental Leadership Program and an Executive Development Program at Kellogg Graduate School of Business. She is a certified trainer of Achieve Global and Carlson Learning Co. Rebecca serves on the Board of Directors of Asia America MultiTechnology Association. She is past President of Organization of Chinese Americans, Industry Liaison Group, and Alumni Association of Univ. of New Mexico.


Voula Grand

Voula is a business psychologist specializing in individual and team development within organizations. As an executive, leadership and team coach with twenty years professional experience, she has unique depth and breadth of knowledge of executive coaching and leadership development, having coached 500+ executives and leaders in a number of blue chip multi-national organizations. Her particular interest and expertise is bringing about transformational change in leaders who face the challenges of leading their businesses to a new, and often unknown, future.

Voula is a UK chartered psychologist, on the Special Group in Coaching Psychology Chartered Members List. As well as her BSc in Social Psychology (the specialized study of small groups) Voula is trained in a range of techniques aimed at bringing about individual and group change. These include Gestalt psychology, Character Dynamics, and emotional intelligence development. She is fully trained and licensed in all psychometric testing. Voula has a particular interest in story telling as an organizational and leadership communication method - and is well qualified - she has an MA in Creative Writing, and has recently completed her first novel.
